Golf Information
Golf has several levels of play starting with Skills. First time athletes will compete in Skills before being able to advance to upper levels.

Upper levels of golf will be played as Unfied play with a non-athlete partner. 

Unified players 18 and over will need to complete Class A Volunteer forms and associated checklist items to be eligible to practice and compete. 

Unified players under 18 should still register through the link above but will not have to complete all steps for the Class A Volunteer. 

During sign ups you will need to indicate if the athlete is going to play Unified and who their Unified Partner will be.  

Special Olympics Golf Sport Information

Practices 

Golf practices (Skills only) are held in Georgetown on Saturday mornings from 8am-9am and generally begin in June.

Practices will be held weekly until the week before the Area competition.

For security reasons, the practice location will be announced by the coach two weeks prior to the start and sent to you via email after sign ups close.

Level 2 and above golf athletes will need to practice on their own with their Unified partner and submit scores weekly to the coach.

Competitions

Area (regional) competition information can be found here on the Area 13 calendar and is typically in August. 

If you do not see the date(s) listed, it will be published closer to the competition date. 

State competition, named Fall Classic, is held after Area competition and rotates locations around Texas. 

State competition is an optional competition. 

You can find information on state competition on the SOTX website. 

Uniforms

Athletes will need to wear an official CenTex Rockets collared shirt for the Area and State competitions.
